Walks & Exploring
Explore the countryside straight from Abbotts Ann on the four-mile village circular, or follow the River Anton Way. Further afield, climb Danebury Hillfort for far-reaching views or take to the traffic-free stretches of the Test Way by bike.

Eat, Drink, Shop
Discover country pubs including The Hawk Inn and Crook & Shears, or visit Black Chalk for English wine made here in the Test Valley. For local produce, try Abbotts Ann Village Shop, Weyhill Farm Shop or the Leckford Estate near Stockbridge.

The Water Meadows
Hampshire is home to some of the world’s rare chalk streams, celebrated for their clear, cool water and rich wildlife. In Abbotts Ann, the Pillhill Brook flows through the village and around its historic water meadows, shaped by channels created for irrigation in the 19th century. Walking the village footpaths beside the brook and meadows is one of the loveliest things to do locally, offering a peaceful glimpse of the chalk-stream landscape of the Test Valley.
